## Overview

Paperclip’s Mixpanel MCP connector gives your AI agents tools to inspect events and run product analytics queries. Each tool can be Allowed, Ask first or Off.

Reach follows the authorizing account’s Mixpanel project permissions. Region follows that account; Paperclip has no separate region selector.

## What agents can do with Mixpanel

- Choose a project and inspect its events (`Get-Projects`, `Get-Events`)
- Build a query from its schema (`Get-Query-Schema`, `Run-Query`)
- Inspect events before querying them (`Get-Events`, `Run-Query`)

## How to connect Mixpanel

1. In Paperclip, open Connectors and select Mixpanel.
2. On the Access step, choose the identity and which agents may use the connection.
3. Select Sign in with Mixpanel and complete browser sign-in, choosing the project when prompted.

Evidence that an action changes data or submits information elsewhere puts it in Write. Write also includes actions we cannot verify as read-only. Read describes the reviewed evidence; it does not guarantee that an action has no side effects. A connected account can group actions differently.

## Mixpanel connector FAQ

### Can I require approval for actions?

Set an action to Ask first to require human approval of each call or Off to prevent calls. Allowed actions run without approval. Read and Write grouping is separate from these settings.

### What can agents reach in Mixpanel?

### What do I need before connecting?

Use a Mixpanel account with access to the intended project and region. The hosted server is in beta.
