## Overview

Paperclip’s Webflow MCP connector gives your AI agents tools to inspect sites and manage CMS content. Each tool can be Allowed, Ask first or Off.

Reach follows the authorizing account’s workspace and site roles, plus authorized sites. Paperclip has no site picker.

## What agents can do with Webflow

- Find a site and inspect its collections (`data_sites_tool`, `data_cms_tool`)
- Inspect pages alongside CMS content (`data_pages_tool`, `data_cms_tool`)
- Review forms in a site (`data_sites_tool`, `data_forms_tool`)

## How to connect Webflow

1. In Paperclip, open Connectors and select Webflow.
2. On the Access step, choose the identity and which agents may use the connection.
3. Select Sign in with Webflow and authorize the intended sites in Webflow’s browser flow.

This list describes the reviewed tools. Your selected method, provider access and action permissions determine what agents can use.

These lists use a conservative permission policy. Read requires a provider read-only hint or a reviewed Paperclip read rule. Evidence that an action changes data or submits information elsewhere puts it in Write. Write also includes actions we cannot verify as read-only. Read describes the reviewed evidence; it does not guarantee that an action has no side effects. A connected account can group actions differently.

This list includes Webflow’s tools. Nested actions are parameters of those tools, rather than separate tools. Designer tools require an active Designer session.

### Connection policies

Discovered actions follow the connection’s policies. Publishing runs inside data_sites_tool and data_cms_tool, so their permission covers reading and publishing alike. Keep them on Ask first or Off and let a person publish from Webflow.

## Webflow connector FAQ

### Can I require approval for actions?

Set an action to Ask first to require human approval of each call or Off to prevent calls. Allowed actions run without approval. Read and Write grouping is separate from these settings.

### What can agents reach in Webflow?

Reach follows the authorizing account’s workspace and site roles, plus authorized sites. Paperclip has no site picker.

### What do I need before connecting?

Use a Webflow account with access to the intended sites. Designer tools require a companion app kept open in the Designer.
