Paperclip’s Anthropic connection supplies the credential your AI agents use to run Claude models.
Use a Claude subscription or an Anthropic API key with an agent whose runtime resolves to Claude. Choose the model in the agent configuration.
What agents can do with Anthropic
- Run Claude agents on your personal account
Set your personal default, then configure the agent to use the responsible user’s connection.
- Use a company-shared credential for eligible runs
Bind a compatible Company shared connection. The run still needs a responsible user in its human audience and permission for that agent.
- Use an API key when interactive sign-in is unavailable
Choose Claude API key and paste the key in the credential field. Subscription sign-in requires a supported sign-in environment.
How to connect Anthropic
- In Paperclip, open Connectors and select Anthropic.
- On the Access step, choose Personal or Company shared and which agents may use the credential.
- Choose Claude subscription and complete sign-in in a supported environment or Claude API key and paste your key. Then select the AI connection in the agent configuration.
How Anthropic works in Paperclip
Set your personal default for runs that use the responsible user’s connection or bind a compatible Company shared connection to an agent. Every run must have an eligible responsible user and an agent permitted to use that credential. Connecting the account alone does not select it for a run.
Anthropic connector FAQ
Can I set this connection to Ask first?
This connection supplies a model credential. It has no per-action permission switches. Access depends on credential sharing, the responsible user and agent eligibility.
Can every agent use it?
Only agents whose runtime resolves to Claude can use this credential. The connection must also be permitted for the agent and the responsible user.
Does a shared binding work without a responsible user?
No. A specific binding must be Company shared, shared with the responsible user and installed for the agent or company-wide. A binding cannot replace the responsible-user check.
