Paperclip’s Linear connector gives your AI agents tools from Linear’s MCP server to read, create and update issues. Each tool can be Allowed, Ask first or Off.
Reach follows the account that authorizes the connection. Each connection covers one workspace; Paperclip has no team or project picker.

How to connect Linear
- In Paperclip, open Connectors and select Linear. On the Access step, choose the identity and which agents may use the connection, then copy the redirect URI shown in setup.
- For the documented registered-client route, create a Linear OAuth application. Add Paperclip’s exact redirect URI, then copy the client ID and client secret.
- Return to Paperclip, supply the client ID and secret and authorize in Linear as the account whose workspace access the connection should have.

Linear connector FAQ
Which teams and projects can agents reach?
Reach follows the authorizing Linear account, with one workspace per connection. Paperclip has no team or project picker. Use an account with narrower Linear access when you need a narrower reach.
Can I require approval before an agent changes an issue?
Set the tools that create or update issues to Ask first for human approval of each call or Off to prevent the call. Check the names in your connection’s action list, because they can differ from this temporary directory list. The website’s Write grouping is separate from these permission settings.
Why are all the listed tools grouped as Write?
The temporary Claude directory list has no read-only annotations. Write includes tools without verified read-only evidence; it does not mean every listed tool changes data. The list may be incomplete and connected-account actions and classes can differ.
