Paperclip’s Zapier connector gives your AI agents MCP tools to discover and enable actions, inspect enabled actions and run them in Agentic mode. Each tool can be Allowed, Ask first or Off.
This published list covers Agentic-mode tools, not the app-specific actions selected in Managed mode. A generated URL alone does not establish mode or availability.

Tool availability and permissions
Published Agentic-mode tools only. Managed-mode account actions and Early Access workflow tools are excluded. All listed tools group into Write under Paperclip’s conservative aggregator policy; this does not mean every tool changes data.
These lists use a conservative permission policy. Read requires a provider read-only hint or a reviewed Paperclip read rule. Evidence that an action changes data or submits information elsewhere puts it in Write. Write also includes actions we cannot verify as read-only. Read describes the reviewed evidence; it does not guarantee that an action has no side effects. A connected account can group actions differently.
This list covers the Agentic-mode tools. Managed-mode selected actions and Early Access workflow tools are excluded. A generated URL does not establish mode or account availability. All 16 tools are grouped as Write under Paperclip’s conservative policy, including list, get and inspect tools. Write is a permission-risk category; it does not mean every tool changes data.
Connection policies
Actions you expose in Zapier become active in Paperclip after a refresh under the connection’s existing policies. Review the action list after every refresh. You can set any tool to Ask first or Off.
Zapier connector FAQ
Can I require approval for Zapier calls?
Use Ask first for an exposed action to require approval of each call or Off to prevent it. After changing the server in Zapier, refresh the actions in Paperclip and review their settings.
Does this list show every app action I can use?
No. It is a published Agentic-mode list. Managed-mode actions depend on your server and account and Early Access workflow tools are excluded. Check the connected account’s action list before assigning work.
What do I need before connecting?
A Zapier account and a server configured there. Paste the complete generated URL only in the credential field; it contains an access token. A working URL does not establish Agentic mode or the availability of every published tool.
